In his book, “The Exhausted School,” John Taylor Gatto declares that to “escape the trap we are in” – that of a State designed and mandated school system – it will “require acts of courage and imagination.” (publ. 1993; pp. 30)
Although the task seems daunting, we embrace the opportunity to bring our own children home and immerse them in an environment where they are challenged to live life to the fullest, explore new ideas, pursue areas of personal interest, develop character, achieve academic excellence, undertake entrepreneurial pursuits, engage in community service with people of diverse cultures, and build loving relationships with one another. Above all, we hope and pray that our children will know the truth, experience a fulfilling relationship with God, and find their true identity in who God created them to be. We invite you to join us as we courageously and imaginatively travel this exciting adventure of homeschooling!
